Suggestion #29: Marketing Stories–5 Components

Sonia Simone of CopyBlogger offers these five tips for an important segment of your marketing copy.

Your marketing stories need:

  • a hero. [Your customer]
  • a goal. [A transformation/benefit–health, wealth, career enhancement, etc– for your customer]
  • an obstacle. [What difficulties–external, but often internal–does your customer face as he/she works for transformation?]
  • a mentor. [That’s you…providing tools, knowledge, and expertise.]
  • a moral. [Circle back and clearly state the desired takeaway.]

Read further for a little bonus piece of advice. [A good writing strategy to consider, by the way.]

I hope this helps.
